Sprinkle in a little bit of anime and tech gadget and a whole lot of randomness and you've got yourself an episode of ElectricSistaHood.
The Waiting Room is something in a hospital where you sit around while a loved one gets some kind of surgery. It also turns out to be the place where you sit around while Electronic Arts gets its act together. That's precisely where Ninja found […]

NinJaSistah's mind has been inundated with thoughts about her high school days. Those were the days when she lived for fighting games. She was very mindful of her skills in games like Soul Edge and Mortal Kombat. She spent long hours learning her favorite character's […]

Addictions come and addictions go. And that is what has happened to NinJaSistah over the years. There was a time, not so long ago, that we would have to physically limit the time she spent on the show talking about the video game Destiny. But […]

Has it been a year already? It seems that we got tired of 2018 about three months in, and the rest was just an endurance race. But now we're here in 2019 and, like every year before it, it seems nothing's changed. So what're we talking about in 2019? The same thing we've been talking about since Episode 1 of this show way back in 2006: Kingdom Hearts. The very-long-awaited KH3 shows up in a few weeks, and what do we know about it? Not much, apparently. Although we were totally enamored with the first and second iteration of the […]

We see a lot of video games -- we get some for free, and we buy others. The amount of money we spend on a game has no relationship to what we think about it. We tend to like games we buy, but that's not always the case. Take, in point, games in the Assassin's Creed franchise. We absolutely adore some of them and despise others. Before starting to play the latest version, Odyssey, there were two A.C. games that we never finished. Now there is a third. It's not that we didn't try. Ninja put 74 hours into Odyssey, […]

The year is winding down and the Sistahs are wrapping things up by concentrating on new anime and video games this week. Panda gets things started by talking about a couple of games she's played lately: Momoka and Wandersong. It's from her review of Wandersong that this week's show gets its title. Ninja also brings up an upcoming game that cleverly combines popular anime called Jump Force. Then Ninja talks about two anime she's been watching: Back Street Girls and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Auxilliary subjects in this week's show includes nuns with guns, the problem […]

Time changes everything. And that's particularly evident this time of year. The Sistahs spend this week's episode giving you advice on how to shop for your favorite person for the holiday season, particularly if that person is enamored with video games or anime. As formerly young people themselves, the girls come to the realization that they would be perfectly satisfied with gifts that might be considered to be mundane. While they were horrified when they got practical gifts as children, they gladly welcome socks and scarves today. They do eventually get beyond those types of presents in this week's show. […]

Just when you think you have everything nailed down, the boards on the front porch start warping on you. Suddenly, you're tripping on a surface you presumed was perfectly flat and level. That's precisely what happened to us on Sunday. Ninja and Panda were settled in on the couch with pizza and champaign, watching and commenting on last week's Game Awards Show for this episode of the podcast. We spent the next three hours doing just that. And then, a few hours after Panda left the House of ESH, Ninja went back and listened to the recording. With the exception […]

It happens in musicals all the time. Characters are conversing with each other, then, suddenly, one of them breaks out in song. Before the 1940's, the song had nothing to do with the action on stage, but that all changed with the musical Oklahoma!, which introduced the concept of songs that went along with what the characters had been talking about. There is little difference between that and what happens on a regular basis in our weekly podcasts. One of us is talking about something when, suddenly, the other one breaks out into a song. The juxtiposition usually results in […]

If you can't say anything new, don't say anything at all. That seems to be Sony's policy, at least. Sony caused a bit of a kerfuffle on the internet last week when it announced it would have no presence at next year's E3 conference in June. "Say it ain't so, Joe!" many people on the internet cried out. What can this mean for the vaunted E3 conference? Is this the beginning of the end? So what if Sony isn't showing up? Does this mean Sony has no new equipment to show up in 2019? Does Sony have no new groundbreaking […]
