In a news story heard on episode 516 of OLR, it was announced that on 8/22/13 the Games For Windows Marketplace will be closing. While I highly doubt that any tears will be shed or fucks given over this, this does raise a question that I'd like to pose to the community:

Has there been a game (either wholly online or had a online multiplayer component) that you loved playing & was shut down? What was that game and what were your favorite memories of that game? What were your thoughts on hearing that that game was to be shut down?
