Ok, if you, the post reader, are anything like me, odds are that you'd want something cheap/free to watch (due to budget constrains or what have you). While I absolutely will not condone piracy in any form, I will point out in follow up replies any free videos that are on the misc. video stores (iTunes, Zune Marketplace, & PSN). Now, as a few disclaimers....
1) The free releases that I will be pointing out are for the US only. AFAIK other regions have different offerings for complicated reasons that I won't go into here.
2) I will make every effort to be on top of making a post regarding the freebies as soon as I see them/they become free. However, there's always the off chance that an occaisional freebie will escape my notice. If that does happen & someone else notices it, by all means, post the info.
3) Bear in mind that the vast majority of the freebies are available for free on a limited time basis (usually a week), so I wouldn't slack off when it comes to getting the video. As a general rule of thumb, 95% of all freebies are either pilots or season premieres (or, in case of older shows), when the show 1st becomes available on the platform [side note: the digital store gives out these for free in the hopes that you'd get hooked on the show & then buy the rest @ regular price).
4) Unless I note otherwise in brackets after the title, it can be assumed that a given video is free on all 3 major stores - Zune Marketplace, iTunes, & PSN.

There are some new freebies to be found on the Zune Marketplace - the pilot to Counting Cars, & the 1st 2 episodes of Strike Back.

iTunes frequently has the first episode of new series available for free. If you hear about a new series that sounds interesting, you should always check iTunes for a free episode. Sometimes it's even a two-hour pilot. I'm in Canada, but I think they do this in all regions that have iTunes TV shows. There is also a "Free Full-Length Episodes" section in iTunes. At the moment, I see 33 episodes in that section (some are "making of" promotions and some are real episodes).

I'm hoping some free videos for NBC's Community show up on PSN like they have in the past since it's a Sony show. That's a good tip about the iTunes store too.

Although I failed to mention it before (it kinda slipped my mind for w/e reason), on the Zune Marketplace, there's a whole bunch of 10 minute previews of misc. movies available for streaming (or download). while hardly a full movie or tv show, it's something to check out.

There's a new freebie available on the PSN Video Store - the pilot to an anime series called Shakugan No Shana (Seaason 1, Episode 1: The End of Everything, A Beginning). Now, as of the time I type this,I don't see this offered on the Zune Marketplace, *BUT* I'm willing to bet that it'll be put up for free there shortly. 9 times out of 10, if something's free on 1 service, it'll be offered for free on the other just as soon as the other service's store is updated, so if you're a Zune use, be on the look out for it.
