I'm looking forward to it. I still follow Damon Lindelhof on Twitter, even after Lost ended, and he's writing it and has been talking about it for a while now. Love Brad Bird, so I'm hoping it'll be great. |

there's a lot of comments on that oatmeal article wondering if he was gonna catch heat for posting about that... I'm not sure if its just a publicity stunt or what, but that's how I found out this movie was happening. Will definitely have to watch out for this one, though. |

Very interesting indeed. The Oatmeal (Matthew Inman) is no stranger to legal conflicts, so I kind of doubt this was just him deciding to spill the beans on it. Also, I'm sure there are a ton of historians and other scholars who are extremely knowledgeable about Tesla and his life, so by bringing Inman in it looks like they're looking for some internet-celebrity backing on the project. Considering he spearheaded the effort that raised almost $1.5 million to build a Tesla museum, he definitely has the ability to stir up buzz for the film. I'll stay tuned for sure as well. |

On a side note, I feel bad for a former teacher of mine. James Dalessandro taught a couple of screenwriting classes I took back in film school, taught me some great things, and he also wrote a novel about the great San Francisco earthquake called 1906, followed by a screenplay based on that same book that got picked up by Hollywood. At the time I was taking these classes, Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black) was attached to direct, but he since moved on. The last person attached to direct was Brad Bird, but it seems he left the project last year to make Tomorrowland. Anyway, it's a terrific screenplay, and it's a shame it keeps getting floated around in development hell for the past 10+ years or so, but I am still looking forward to Tomorrowland anyway. Maybe Bird will try and tackle 1906 again once he's done. |

So apparently at this year's New York Comic-Con there was a teaser trailer, looks like an early summer May 2015 release: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k59gXTWf-A I honestly wasn't expecting it to be live action, but still it looks to be epic just from the little bit you can see! |
