Even as much as we love our favorite series, they're not perfect. Regardless of their size, even our most beloved series has flaws and quirks that we cannot stand. They don't take away from how much we love it, though (mostly). Take me for instance: Pokémon is one of my favorite series--it's one of my three gateway anime, to boot (the other two are Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon). But if there's anything about the (dub of) the anime I can't stand, it's the first opening theme song. Sorry, but I just don't like the thing. It just gets on my nerves (the almost Pavlovian need to start singing it doesn't help). It's mostly due to how, when I first started watching it, I discovered all the changes they made in the dub...and this change eventually led me to Satoshi's seiyuu and the J-pop supergroup she helped start up. So there's that. Got any similar peeves about your favorite series? |

I have a few quirks... Soul Eater was an amazing show.. until it ended. I swear that was the most disappointing ending to anything. I agree with you on pokemon, that song gets old quick, like second episode quick. And Eden of the East needs a less confusing story, and obviously some closure. |
