I have a multi-part question for everyone that needs some background information. I just got a USB TV tuner today, which I use with Windows Media Center on my Windows 7 Home Premium laptop. I intend to occaisionally record misc. shows off of live tv, but I don't want the files to take up alot of space on my HDD. It's my hope that anything that I'd ike to keep longterm can be burned onto a DVD that can be played on any old DVD player. Is this possible? If it is, how do I go about it?

Yeah...it is possible. Depends on the format you record them in, but most CD/DVD burning programs (I like Roxio) should be able to do that just fine.
