Interesting note, I recently picked up the special edition DVD of season one ‘Fear the Walking Dead.” According to the commentary AMC is very liberal in allowing their shows to go over in time, from as little as a minute to as long as a half hour longer as needed. I think this may be the cause for the occasional ninety minute fumbles with the primary Dead series. Without a discipline of that check mark in place the creators are not being forced to cut away the excess and leave just the best and necessary moments to tell the story. I think both Dead series would be better off if AMC were to enforce the normal time restraints of broadcast television on it. |
