You could always use PodOmatic to host the podcast, and it is free. Sorry if this has already been mentioned.
Equipment wise, a USB headset would do. Plantronics is a recommended brand.
I would be all aboard the JimSally train, please can we get some ho's (if you're not a wrestling fan, you won't get that).

And the show can have fictitious, over-the-top sponsor ads at the top of the show or during breaks, sorta in the vein of what you might hear in a GTA radio station. An example could be "This show was brought to you by Dookie in a Can - Damned if you doo doo, damned if you don't."
