Horde House

Episode 167: ERMAGERD CLERP CLERPS

A special delivery brings Grampa LIVE to the studio at Rob Roberts house? What antics happen when two of the hosts are together in real life? Or is Grampa too distracted by baseball for anything to actually happen? Ermagerd!

In gaming, Xtofer has spent a little time with a new feature on the Playstation 4, Share Play, that’s set to potentially change console gaming as we know it. Speaking of console gaming, Destiny has a new expansion announced with an oddly familiar name, but not everyone is happy with the details.

Final Fantasy XIV patch impressions, World of Warcraft expansion value updates and much more round out our news this week.

All this and MORE on the show about ALL things online gaming but NEVER too SRSLY- HORDE HOUSE!

Those last few minutes of the show were classic. And by the way, it's been 35 years since a road team won a game 7, but yeah a long time either way.

But my favorite lines were from Xtofer, like when he said a triple was when they knock three guys in and then he picked NBA Jam as his favorite baseball video game. Haven't I taught you anything about sports?

Well he made it all up with his amazing final thought. That was a home run of a show!

Share Play did in fact work flawlessly on my end. I read the resolution is downgraded to 720p and that they lock the frame rate, and I noticed it wasn't as sharp as when I played in the Beta for Destiny, but I never had lag, artifacting, or got disconnected. I even passed the control back to Xtofer when I had to step away for a few minutes, then took it right back when I returned. And having him live on voice chat to give me advice was great since I never played past level 5 or so before and there were whole new abilities for me to learn.

It really is a fantastic feature that puts it ahead of the competition, and I don't think it's a coincidence they released this on the same week that Sunset Overdrive came out.
