Horde House

Episode Eighty-Five: Sensitivity Training

We are joined this week for a talk with Lissanna from restokin.com and Team Wafflecast. Lissanna has also become known in the community this week for her “real” persona, Dr. Whyte, in which she is enlisting the help of the gaming community to fund a project geared towards helping autistic youth.

Please check out this link for more information on Lissanna’s project!

We have plenty to discuss in the World of Warcraft this week as well, as Rob, Xtofer, Shane & Lissanna talk about the Cinder Kitty pet, as well as some recent hotfixes to the game.

All this and MORE including the Facebook question of the week, your e-mails and tweets on the show about ALL things WARCRAFT but NEVER too SRSLY– HORDE HOUSE!

That's a cool title for people who make great contributions to the show. ;)

Love Lugtone as well, but I don't think the show is a train wreck. I actually find it to be a lot better structured than a lot of other WoW podcasts I've listened to.
Also, if Blizzard gave all current subscribers one free month, that's giving away over $150 million. I haven't heard of Blizzard giving even a day of game time back to subscribers for things like extended downtime since Activision took over, but it sure would be nice.
And now I have to go to the next Blizzcon, just to meet Lugtone and any other Horde House fans willing to go. Dizzcon is something I've always wanted to do too.

Okay, I need to take a second to stroke Rob's ego because his interview with Dr. Whyte was fantastic. On a show that calls itself "never too serious" Rob has some serious skills as an interviewer. The questions didn't feel scripted and the whole talk had a very natural flow while hitting on so many different topics. She was a great guest and it was cool seeing our favorite little dick and fart show taking itself seriously for a bit, but still able to get back to being silly the rest of the time. Great job by Rob and the rest of the guys as well.

Awww thanks Flaco, I try not to script interviews to much, I usually have five or so "seed" questions but I try to let things take a natural flow... I like to have conversations with people not an inquisition (that's Grandpa's segment hee hee).

Sometimes it works... Lissanna is very passionate about the WoW community and her research and that is abundantly obvious in that she needed very little questioning to have a great dialogue, her being a fellow podcaster probably helped a lot with that too.

But I've had other interviews before, I think we all know of an infamous OLR one that I don't need to name, where it's like... okay this person doesn't even wanna be here and is giving me one word answers WWBWD?!?!?!? (what would barbara walters do?)

I know exactly which interview you are talking about from OLR. That was hilarious to listen to but I felt bad for the rest of you. Even in that case you were still a pro despite that person giving you nothing.

1st episode without a mention Wandas Macaroni salad. Then again i understand not wanting to scare away the guest with something "not traditional" as that... :P
