Horde House
Howdy ya'll and welcome to The Best Little Horde House in Azeroth. Internet radio & podcasting veterans Rob Roberts and Xtofer, and their wine loving friend Grandpa bring you a weekly dose of Azeroth news and updates from an honest yet sometimes sassy perspective. Join us for our antics each week as we invite special guests to pull up a chair with us and poke a little fun at one of our past times.
The lovely Sil from Girls Gone WoW is visiting us once again on the program to talk about the latest games she has been playing, which include WoW as well as The Secret World and Final Fantasy XIV. We’re lucky to have not just one but two guests tonight as Dr. Ken from the Starboard Power Coupling podcast joins us again, to challenge Rob on a few things he said about Elder Scrolls Online last week. Uh-oh!
Also, Diablo 3 and Path of Exile are going head to head with big patches that everyone is talking about. How are we going to choose between all this awesomeness in our click click loot loot games??
Ghemit from the Lets WoW Podcast is back on our program tonight to talk about his on again, off again time with World of Warcraft. What’s caused him to go back to the game, then leave, then come back again? We talk about hopes and desires for WoW’s future, as well as some of the other games that he’s played in the interim. We might also get to hear from the “awesome guy” famous from his Twitter.
Diablo 3 had a huge update this week. How has feedback to the game been? What all has changed? We discuss some of the feedback with our listeners. Then Rob throws a LOT of shade at an upcoming MMO, sure to generate an e-mail or two… oops.
We are joined once again tonight by our friend Chris from GameOn with MMORPG.Com. We talk to Chris about some of the various MMO’s he’s played from the very good to the very not so good, and some of the games that haven’t been our shows radar enough recently.
In the news roundtable tonight, we talk about the phenomenon that is Pokemon played by the users of Twitch.TV, and the bombshell from Blizzard that a character boost to level 90 might just set you back sixty dollars. There’s some pretty strong differences of opinion amongst the hosts and the chat, so tune in and don’t forget to send your feedback!
Rob, Xtofer & Grandpa are guest-less tonight, feeling the love amongst themselves. Tonight we discuss the love that people out there still seem to have for World of Warcraft, as the subscriber numbers have gone up, not down as has been the trend as of late. You’d be surprised though who turns cynic on this news, and who’s more positive, and who falls asleep.
We also talk a variety of other online games such as Phantasy Star Online, Final Fantasy XIV, RIFT, and even some MMRs. What’s an MMR? Something bros like. Tune in and find out.
It was sad not having Horde House last week, but can you believe what we did? Instead of playing an online game, we hung out IRL! For the first time in 137 weeks! We recap our adventures, then welcome to the show our friend Ian from Qoopa Klub Podcast! Ian tells us about his time with MMOs like WoW, then talks with us about multiplayer console gaming, including games we don’t often bring up on the show like Call of Duty.
In the news tonight, information is released on features Blizzard plans to implement to World of Warcraft to hold us over to the next expansion. Meanwhile, Everquest Next Landmark has it’s NDA lifted so we can all see what the game looks like. Hmm, are the makers of Elder Scrolls Online listening?
Tonight we talk about the saga with Candy Crush Saga, a name we hopefully will not be sued for by naming in our episode description. Should the makers of this game really be allowed to trademark the words “candy” and “saga” or is something borked with Trademark laws in this country?
Our friend Part Shark from Troll in the Dungeon joins us to talk about how World of Warcraft is going for him, and Part Shark and Grandpa share some drinks over this weeks Blizzard news including Hearthstone FINALLY being out of beta!
The man about VOGNetwork.com, Bobby Blackwolf, joins us on this episode to talk about some old school MMOs, and a way to play them that sometimes involved never attacking a single mob. Everquest, Star Wars, Anarchy Online, Bobby’s got some stories to tell… or maybe he will sing them if we are lucky, after all he was a bard.
In the news roundtable, the internet is all a buzz over one man’s Linked In profile, but is it really the “bad” news that some are predicting? People sure do tend to make a kumquat out of the situation. Or a pomegranate.
We are back after our holiday hiatus to kick off a new year of Horde House! We start off the year by inviting Flattuss on the program, one of the hosts of EverCast, who informs are hosts and listeners all about the world of Evercrack! Between the original game and the upcoming “Landmark” and “Everquest Next”, there’s a lot to get excited about in the Everquest world.
In the news, we get into a possible loooong wait for the next World of Warcraft, and another internet website casts a forecast of doom and gloom for Elder Scrolls Online. Do we think they might be right?
Xtofer, Rob, Shane & Grandpa join special guest Flaco Jones to come together and celebrate the holidays with this special episode. We completley flip the script tonight to visit our top five games of the year. Which ones were online? Which ones were old? Which ones were CONFLICTS? Tune in to find out what the hosts and the chatters had to say!
An iffy internet connection won’t stop the guys from getting together to talk about the latest in online gaming… could the government be trying to stop our show? Okay maybe not, but it’s fun to speculate. Anyway the show needs to stop being interrupted, this could be our big audition for a new online gaming network dedicated to competitive gaming!
Warcraft, Final Fantasy XI (that’s XI not XIV) and Elder Scrolls cap off another news roundtable just full of MMO goodness. There’s still plenty of online gaming news to get us thru the holidays.
