We have LOTS to say this week with our guest Auspher on everything that’s going on in MMOs. WoW has a new expansion, and Grandpa and Rob have some feedback from the time spent playing it. Rift also has a new expansion, which shows this free to play game is still growing. A highly controversial change is coming to Diablo 3, to the relief of many players, but our live chatroom provides some counter points that we dicuss on the program. Also, a word of warning for those that haven’t upgraded their phones to the newest iOS yet.

Xtofer and Rob are back from various convention trips to PAX and DragonCon, and report on the things that were seen and the games that were played. The packet loss monster tries to stop Xtofer from his report, but he’s able to tell us about a simple fighting game with only two buttons. Ghemit also drops by once again to tell us about a different simple flash game that will STEAL YOUR SOUL… with cookies. In more standard online game news, World of Warcraft announces the new raiding schedule, but one e-mailer points out how there’s people complaining about it. Do the hosts feel these complaints are justified? Also, we talk about Diablo 3 on the console and a DC Universe expansion. Lastly but not leastly, after all these episodes, and all this time, Shane has an excuse to bring up one of his favorites on the show.

You get a Beta! And you get a Beta! Okay so it was a busy weekend with a couple of high profile betas going on. Was this a mere coincidence? Or was there some strategy at play? New details on World of Warcraft 5.4 emerge this week, but is it enough to convince our hosts who have left WoW to give it another shot? One of our favorite wow-lebrities Ghemit joins us to talk about this and some Blizzard rumors around recent trademarks (rob- stop trying to make wowlebrity happen!) Also, Final Fantasy 14 starts it’s open beta very soon, and we have the announcement on which server our linkshell & free company will be on! Also, Shane goes over all the latest patch notes.

One of our favorite ladies, Sil from Girls Gone Wow, joins us tonight on the show to talk about online gaming, including big WoW news such as background on the Connected Realms. Shane will also try to work his “Heroes Power” magic on her to get her in the FFXIV beta. Does it work?

The online game community is all abuzz about the Warcraft movie announcement trailer shown at Comic-Con. We ponder what it could mean for the movie, and also ponder the possibly more important question– how in the hell did this thing not leak to the internet? Maybe the creators threatened to send any uploaders to virtual jail! Yes, we spend some time debating the return of virtual jail in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Some hosts find it amusing, while others on the panel just don’t get it? What do YOU all think about online jail as a punishment in an MMO?

Two big console massively multiplayer games are set to be shut down early next year, which leads us to a Facebook question concerning the inevitable end… how do our listeners (and our hosts) want to see their favorite MMO meet it’s inevitable end? Rumors of an in-game cash shop coming to World of Warcraft is sure to have all your favorite podcasts buzzing this week, and we are no exception. Although the store is coming to Asia right now, so we try not to get TOO ahead of ourselves, we do speculate with our chatters and our e-mailers about what this could mean for the future of the World of Warcraft. In other news, DOTA 2 finally launches officially after a seemingly endless Beta phase, but does this really change anything? Also, could Grand Theft Auto be the next big MMO we cover on our show?

An early preview of the new Battle.Net launcher comes to the hosts of Horde House, and we are quick to give some early opinions of the all-in-one Blizzard application. In other news, we can’t resist jumping on the huge gaming news about a new CEO for Zynga. As Facebook games are one seriously popular type of online game, what could this potentially mean for the industry? Also, all signs point to a successful reboot of Final Fantasy XIV as beta signups cross a pretty significant milestone.
