Games, Movies, TV Shows, Comics, Toys, Tech Gadgets, you name it, we want to review it!

The Star Trek novel universe experienced a major shift with the “Destiny” trilogy a few years ago, and the subsequent emergence of the Typhon Pact was a bit anticlimactic by comparison. In fact, there was a sense that the post-”Destiny” novels were struggling to find a direction. At the same time, the post-“Deep Space Nine” novel line had come on hard times, with more momentous events taking place in the mega-event novels than the actual DS9 content. (Click More... for More)

The post-finale "Legacy" series has been one of the better examples of this tie-in novel strategy. Other shows have used novels (or, more recently, comics) to finish out or otherwise extend the story beyond the televised adventures. The example that most resembles the "Legacy" concept, in my mind, is the "Roswell" set of novels that wrapped up that show's mythology. (Click More... for More)

Remember all those really bad but funny horror movies from the past where people are trapped inside someplace and really bad stuff starts happening and nobody knows why or how? Those movies can really be entertaining and fun despite how bad it may seem, but Oz Orwell and The Crawling Chaos...not so much.

I have a stock answer for a particular question that gets posed on Internet forums all the time. The question is, "What is your favorite Final Fantasy?" My stock answer is, "The one that I played when I was the closest to 12 years old." Us old people remember Final Fantasy VI as our favorite, the younger generation considers Final Fantasy X their favorite, and in about 10 years we'll hear about how Final Fantasy XIII was the best of the series. For this game, it doesn't matter what your favorite Final Fantasy is, there's something in here you'll enjoy.

Resonance is the latest adventure game published by Wadjet Eye Games, and developed by xii games' Vince Twelve. It's been in development for over five years, and indie adventure game fans have been awaiting this release since an early demo was entered into the Independent Games Festival in 2009. The plot revolves around four characters who come together to help stop technology that a (now deceased) particle physicist created from falling into the wrong hands. While that's a seemingly straightforward enough premise, the intertwining lives and memories of the characters make for an engaging story.

"Hey, you." "What?" "Time to come out and play." "Did they release another RUSH pack?" "No, silly, I'm gonna be a DJ now." That was the imaginary conversation I had with my Rock Band Guitar when I began my trip into Zivix's rhythm title JAM Live Music Arcade, available now on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network.
