I just pulled my pledge for the Ouya after reading an interview with the OpenPandora handheld creator. They raised like $2 million several years ago and only just now started shipping in decent numbers. Ouya is promising 80,000 consoles in like 7 months. I think they will run late and some of their statements are too pie in the sky. I don't think it's a scam but it's a lot harder than they make it sound.

Another point overlooked about the silliness of Skyrim and Mass Effect being on an Ouya is it only has 8GB of storage! Good luck fitting a AAA title on that! People really need to temper their enthusiasm.

Nope. I'm with LOKI on this one, went full-out and did the $100 option (or whatever it was) to get a system. I've lost a heck of a lot more on worse odds. (at the casino at Star Trek: The Experience in Vegas)

That's quite the expensive price to pay for "morbidly curious"...If it doesn't actually happen, you're out $100.

Correct indeed. But it isn't THAt far of a stretch from paying 60 bucks for a game that turns out to be utter crap despite the hype surroundung it. Which is omething I've done WAY too much...GTA4 being one example.
