On the subject of Firefly... SPOILER ALERT!!!
I was like you Travis I wasn't able to watch the series when it came out. Later on I bought Serenity on DVD, loved it and finally found the series box set. Watching Episode 1, the scene when Mal looks at Simon and says, "Kaylee's dead." I was like, WTF!! She's in the movie tho...? Next scene... Now that shit was funny!!! That second I became a Browncoat!
